'From Here' Oil on linen
This painting is called “From here” and for me it explores two main things: the chaotic enchantment of motherhood and the rich but unknown journey that’s ahead for our children.
When I paint like this I rarely use brushes, I tend to just squeeze the paint on to my hands and feel my way. It’s very therapeutic for me and I’m often so surprised at the outcome (which I definitely was with this one as I had no intention to include the mother and child but it just happened 🤷🏻♀️). Thank you to everyone who encouraged me to start with my beloved oils again 🤍
