The Camino shell has been used for centuries as a symbol of direction and camaraderie amongst pilgrims making their way to Santiago. Metaphorically, it acts as a symbol to remind us that although we all may take different routes, we are on the right track.

I was also drawn to this beautiful symbol because of its association with Venus, the goddess of love. In Botticelli’s famous painting, The Birth of Venus, Venus is emerging from a scallop shell, referencing fertility, resurrection, renewal, transformation and rebirth 🌙

If you feel like these themes speak to you, this might be the perfect reminder to have in your home 😍

The shell is painted in oil paint on a textural and rustic Morrocan tile background.

It is a maxi U-shaped sized pot (approx 18cmH, 22cmW, 22cm diameter (fit 18cm pot).

Care: Your pot is an original, hand-painted artwork by me, Sharlie Wise. I recommend keeping your plant inside its original plastic pot inside your Sharlie Designs pot and removing it for watering. The base will get scratched if placed on abrasive surfaces. Pots can be kept outdoors in undercover areas—please don’t let it sit in water! If it gets grubby you can gently wipe over with a damp cloth.

Postage: Please allow for 2-3 weeks for postage as a result of COVID-19
